Founded by a committee of experts in digital media and games industry, Mascot Parade Limited is managed by volunteers who want to make a difference in the Youth Scene! |

| ABOUT SHINE YOUTH FESTIVAL |

Over 270,000 Youth were part of SHINE 2008. From 27 June to 01 August 2009, you will see youth showcase their diverse talents and skills, shape a better future for the community and celebrate young role models.
With an electrifying line-up of events, there is something for everyone. SHINE is organized by the National Youth Council (NYC), SHINE Steering Committee members and Youth Organizing Committee.
It is supported by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS).

| About COSMO 2010 |

More than 18,000 attendees joined in the fun with SHINE Youth Mascot Parade 2009 (SYMP). Showcasing Iconic Characters, Superheroes, Master-Villains across Movies, Games, Anime and Youth Culture, the success of SYMP provides the foundation for the creation of COSMO 2010 – which adds exclusive showcases under the brand.
COSMO 2010, the umbrella brand by Mascot Parade Limited, is the annual Orchard Youth Costume initiative. Youths are encouraged to participate and challenge themselves in this national initiative.
2010 COSMO Logo design centers around a mix of two basic colours, Deep Pink and Bright Blue - the contrast represent the iconic representations of youth insights, interests and passion for their hobbies, combined into one special event. Indeed, COSMO is all set to support the growth of emerging youth trends as the ultimate annual youth event!

Our Founder and Producer believes that a 'Win-Win' systems among partners and communities will result in a long term, high impact, high growth event. COSMO and Mascot Parade provides the platform, the outreach, and logistics to support partners in reaching out and expand their communities.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we do not charge Partners extra to make a profit. Instead, we share on our costs, and explore with Partners how we can gain better economies of scale by working together through a mutual support framework.
Our Partners gains access to a collaborative platform where everyone win, and ultimately, it means that there are more support, more events, more opportunities for youth to join in and express their passion and have fun.

| About the Youth Parade |
The Youth Mascot Parade aims to nurture positive youth activism and awareness for youth interests by providing a parade platform for participants.
This project is a first in Asia, to showcase in a street parade format, with mascots and cos-players from well known international gaming franchises; cultural and organizational brands, and artistic icons.
The Youth Mascot Parade is a good strategic fit with the development of youth and social bonding in Singapore. As a neutral parade, youth from all segments and sectors can showcase their interest in a public platform at the heart of Singapore’s iconic shopping district.
This will encourage youth to step beyond their comfort zone to participate in a record breaking mega event.
| 4 Key Parade Segments, 1 Mega Parade |
The 4 Segments of SHINE Youth Mascot Parade represents emerging youth trends that are found in Singapore & Asia.
The vivid colours of Orange and Blue in our 2009 logo symbolises youth fiery passion and cool determination towards a mega parade event for youth in Asia.
The Gaming Segment
Computer Games and Electronic Entertainment ranks as one of the top leisure youth activities in Singapore.
Expect well known gaming characters like : StarWarsDarth Vader, Super Mario Bros, Harry Potter and other cool franchises will be invited to be part of the Gaming Segment. In addition, Youth CosPlayers can also participate in the parade dressed up as their favorite gaming and manga/comic characters.
The Arts and Culture Segment
Youth and the Arts defines the local Youth Culture. Be innovative and create unique costumes from recycled materials. Or showcase your musical talents by participating as part of the Parade musical bands, leading each segments of the parade as we proceed with the parade march in the heart of town.
The Environment Segment
1 degree of change can save the world and youth can drive the message for environmental awareness through the parade. Increase awareness for the environment by dresssing up in costumes made of recycled materials!
Iconic characters like : the Water Wally, Andes Mosquito, and other such as an anti-smoking mascot will be invited to be part of the Environment Segment. In addition, Youth and organisational representatives can play a role and share on projects to save the environment.
The Community Segment
Highlight your communities in the Mascot Parade Community Segment. If you are from a Sports group or uniform / performance Club or CCA, we want you! Showcase your talents in this segment and wow the audiences with breath-taking coordination of movement and teamwork.

Games Academy
The Games Academy is a Project supported by the Creative Community Singapore, under Ministry of Information, Communication and the Arts (MICA).
To help advance the development of the local gaming industry, the Games Academy will offer short-term bridging courses to facilitate the conversion of existing ICT professionals into game industry manpower.
Other than providing an avenue for people to enter into the gaming industry, the academy will gather collect gaming information, endorse positive gaming initiatives and conduct gaming research and surveys.
